Eucharist

The Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ. For Catholics, this is the most treasured gift given to us by the Lord at the Last Supper and ratified in His sacrifice on the cross. In receiving the Eucharist, we are nourished by the Lord so that we may become more like Him. The Eucharist also calls us to bring His message of peace and reconciliation into the world.
The Eucharist is always shared with the community as a solemn rite known as "the Mass." Catholics who are not aware of any serious sin and who have fasted for one hour are invited to share the Eucharist.
